Maureen Kiely is the senior clinical hypnotherapist at Fitzrovia Fertility Clinic, bringing over 24 years of experience from both clinic settings and her private practice. While adept in general hypnotherapy, Maureen has dedicated more than two decades to specialising in female and male infertility. She graduated with distinction from the London College of Clinical Hypnosis and has since lectured nationally and internationally at a postgraduate level in hypnotherapy.
Personal Philosophy and Approach to IVF and Fertility
Maureen’s initial career as a Nursery Nurse fostered her deep love for children. In her early twenties, she personally experienced the challenges of trying to conceive due to undiagnosed chronic endometriosis. This journey, despite ultimately being successful, left her with a profound understanding of the emotional toll of fertility struggles. This personal experience inspired her to create a specialised fertility protocol using clinical hypnotherapy. Her protocol helps individuals develop a therapeutic mind-body strategy to manage anxiety, fear, and negativity while trying to conceive or undergoing an IVF program. Maureen’s ultimate goal is to help everyone experience the “single most extraordinary rewarding experience a person can have!” – bringing their baby into the world.
Maureen’s Fertility Protocol: A Path to Parenthood
Maureen’s fertility protocol, built from 25 years of experience in leading London fertility and IVF clinics, is designed to help individuals navigate the complex process of trying to conceive and maintain a much-longed-for pregnancy.
This protocol provides a structured series of supportive and enabling mind-body exercises, tailored to each patient’s personal journey. The aim is to foster a realistic yet genuinely optimistic sense of well-being. Over 4-5 sessions, each stage of the protocol offers practical and accessible strategies for managing the inevitable stress and anxiety that can accompany the fertility process. Maureen can also assist with medical phobias or address past psychological traumas that may be impacting fertility. As Maureen explains, “When we regain confidence in our bodies through therapeutic visualisations and positive strategies, we can also regain our belief in a positive outcome.”
