Miss Shirin Khanjani

Miss Shirin Khanjani is a Consultant Gynaecologist and accredited subspecialist in reproductive medicine and surgery at University College London Hospital (UCLH). She completed a PhD in reproductive sciences at Imperial College London and was awarded an NIHR academic clinical lectureship to pursue research into infertility and IVF success. Her work has received both national and international recognition and has been presented globally.

In her NHS practice at UCLH, she cares for patients with a wide range of reproductive concerns, with particular expertise in low ovarian reserve, recurrent implantation failure, and menopausal health. She offers both surgical and outpatient treatments, tailored to each individual. Dr Khanjani is known for her kind, holistic, and evidence-based approach. She is also an Honorary Associate Professor at University College London.

Mr Dimitrios Mavrelos

Mr Dimitrios Mavrelos is a Consultant in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproductive Medicine at University College London Hospital (UCLH). He studied medicine at the University of Oxford and Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School, and completed his specialty and subspecialty training in London, alongside a higher degree in gynaecological ultrasound.

His clinical work focuses on supporting couples trying to conceive, with particular expertise in early pregnancy complications, endometriosis, and fertility-impacting gynaecological conditions. He is the lead clinician for ultrasound in the Reproductive Medicine Unit and runs the Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic. Mr Mavrelos has published widely in the field and provides both surgical and outpatient care tailored to his patients.

Miss Neerujah Balachandren

Miss Neerujah Balachandren is a Consultant Gynaecologist and subspecialist in reproductive medicine at University College London Hospital (UCLH). She graduated from UCL Medical School with distinction and first-class honours, and completed her specialist training in South London, followed by a clinical research fellowship and subspecialty training at UCLH.

Her clinical and research interests include fertility preservation and low ovarian reserve. She has co-authored national guidelines for the British Fertility Society and teaches on their ultrasound course. Dr Balachandren combines her academic and clinical expertise with a kind, thoughtful, and patient-centred approach.

Shelley McGeeney

Shelley McGeeney is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Reproductive Medicine Unit at University College London Hospital (UCLH), with over 15 years of experience in fertility and women’s health. She trained at the University of West London and is a qualified nursing mentor, with additional training in sexual health and cervical screening.

Shelley plays a key role in IVF care and fertility preservation, with expertise in sonographic monitoring and patient support across all treatment pathways, including egg donation and surrogacy. She is a member of the Royal College of Nursing and the British Fertility Society, and regularly presents on advanced nursing practice. Her approach is inclusive, compassionate, and focused on empowering patients through personalised care.

Rebecca Holloway

Rebecca Holloway is an accredited life coach with over 17 years of experience supporting patients in the fertility field. She specialises in helping individuals and couples navigate the emotional challenges of fertility treatment, offering personalised coaching to support wellbeing, resilience, and a sense of control throughout the process.

Rebecca has worked at some of the UK’s most successful IVF units and brings deep insight into both the clinical and emotional aspects of fertility care. Her thoughtful, compassionate approach is consistently valued as a vital part of the patient journey.
